They charge $809 per month for HOA. It is ridiculous, I am an investor who owned two units in that community and do not walk but RUN from that community.

The salesman there is a slimy used car salesman and dealing with him resulted in the loss of thousands of dollars. He is a liar and once they have you under contract they ignore you. It is a beautiful community but the silly, unjustifiable HOA and lies have got to stop. I recently sold my two units and broke even.

I initially was supposed to profit around 15k, but lies and manipulation really destroyed my potential earnings with these two properties. To top it off they charge you $3,000 to sell your unit. How is this legal? My units sold for 15K and 21K.

That is over 12% commission. Nothing short of fraud.

Anyhow boy am I glad to be out of there. Me and 3 other tenants are filing a formal complaint.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Pine Lakes Of Prescott Cons: Terrible experience as an investor and tenant.

Location: 3707 W Pine Lakes Dr, Prescott, AZ 86305, USA

First of all, people who read these reviews need to come see this community. Delightful and in the pines.

I paid 650 dollars in Phoenix for a lot, no trees and all homes just lined up in a row. Not pretty!!! The management are just trying to improve the community. Some of the residents who have formed a group are out there to spread gossip and hate.

If you walk into the office, introduce yourself and ask for help or advice in an adult manner without being in attack mode the staff is more than willing to help. It is a 55 and up community for those who want and can manage that lifestyle. Thru the gas crisis management went above and beyond to make a difficult situation easier. All possible accommodations were offered.

Now this group is trying to say that elderly residents were not treated appropriately. I can only say that this is all *** and needs to stop!!

"I can only say that this is all *** and needs to stop!!" That was your last sentence and everything you wrote above that was *** and yes you are right, the BS, people like you are spreading are blatant lies..........or you have your head buried in the rock pile along side the tennis courts.

@Anonymous--you do have your head in the sand if you think things are fine at Pine Lakes. There are many things wrong here and management is doing terrible things.

PineLakesResidentsUnited is working hard to right those wrongs. Are you aware that Tammy has said recently that "we're not running an assisted living center here?" Most of us have been here for many years and the peace and tranquility we so enjoyed has been systematically eroded since Tammy and her ilk--that would include you who is blind--arrived. No one is spreading gossip and hate. In fact members of PLRU have worked hard to prove the many things that Tammy has been doing.

Maybe you need to read the resident's newsletters and not rely on the newsletter put out by the office. The truth is out there if you would only open your eyes.

Lot rent is way, way, way to high I wont even look at anything listed there.

So glad I saw this review! I was just getting ready to call and come look at a couple units there but was hesitant over the price of the HOA!

I thought it was quite high too! I will continue looking but not there!

After walking my dogs there for 5 years living in adjacent neighborhood today Maureen who identified herself as Office Manager asked us to leave the property and never come back. Only reason given was โ€œprivate propertyโ€.

The complaints you raise about escalating fees is well documented. Tenants complain but are at their mercy. Owned by a parent company that serves the retired community it seems they are most interested in business and $$ and less interested in being kind responsible community members.

Prescott is not Florida. Where did the gestapo manager come from?

Speaking as a resident, it is private property. We're tired of people from outside our community coming in here to walk their dogs

why? What does it hurt??

do you even own a dog?? I've found them rather pleasant and the dogs very friendly!

You do not represent the views of most of the community. The dog walkers from the adjacent communities are respectful and their dogs are hurting no one.

Why don't you take your small minded self and leave w/ the current manager and her crew. You are not wanted here.

Actually. that is not true.

Perhaps some of the dog walkers are respectful, but certainly not all.

I've unfortunately had encounters with some very not respectful folks, one dog even tried to attack my small dog, then told me to "F#@! off" I pay a premium to live here, I shouldn't have to deal with people from outside the community acting as though they have a right to be here.

hellooooooooooo ! Some of the residents that live here are nasty and grumpy and their dogs are the same........welcome to the real world....

My my, the majority of the dog infractions are from the residents here in Pine Lakes NOT from the so called trespassers. From a simple minded jerk.

Guest

Because that would just be horrible!! Really?! You must not have a pet, might one to get one, they enrich your life and make you so much more pleasant to deal with.

How long have you lived there? There was an agreement years ago that allowed the other neighborhood to use the dog park and to pass through the community to get to the hiking trails.

I've heard that many of the hikers have hiking friends next door, you want them out too? Wow, Pine Lakes used to be a great place to livee.

Sounds like there's a lot of discord going on. Am I right??

The only discord I can see is from *** like you deliberately trying to stir things up. There are actually a lot of us who are tired of people from outside our community disrespecting us.

Maybe if you actually saw them not clean up their dog crap, or had to dodge their kids riding on their bikes you'd understand what some of us are tired of.

Oh, and to answer your question, I've lived here several years. Long enough to remember how things were before the likes of you and this small group of jerks who want to run everything moved in.

Hummm, Jerks like me? You've lived here a couple of years before jerks like me moved in.

Care to define "jerks"......

If I were a betting man, I'd say this was written by management or someone that's kissing the rear of management........ ROTFLMAO

Are you crazy?

Guest

Thank you. I suspected the HOA fees but didn't realize you don't even own the land.

The houses are beautiful. But the prices are so low, it seemed there had to be a catch other than age restricted.

Guest

Wow we were considering this park . At first I thought hhmmmm a few disgruntled folks .

That's normal !

Then all these related experiences sure must have a good basis. Forget this place.
